Safety

In the wake of COVID19 concerns we have taken every consideration into account to create a safe environment for students and clients.  Our forest studio is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after every client to ensure that a fresh experience awaits the next person to step into our sacred space. Masks can be worn at client’s discretion. For any questions about our safety practices, please contact Ellen at [email protected] or through phone or text at (503) 931-2385.

First Degree Reiki

$235

First Degree Reiki is a practical art that offers tools to help make life more peaceful and joyful.  This class rekindles wisdom that is already in each one of us.  Students receive instruction in the history of Reiki in customary oral tradition, a discussion of the philosophy and principles of Reiki, the sequence of hand positions in a complete self –treatment and treatments on other people.  Focused attention is given to guided practice in the giving and receiving of complete one-hour treatments, allowing students to confidently practice on themselves and others right away.  Students participate in a series of four initiation ceremonies during the class which allow Reiki energy to move more fluently through the hands. (Students with previous First Degree training may audit the course with instructor approval for a cost of $95.)

Ten CEUs are included.

The 42nd Annual Northwest Reiki Gathering Weekend

July 24th to 26th, 2026

“Infinite Paths of Reiki”
with
 Kathy and Frank Coppieters

at Menucha Retreat and Conference Center, Corbett Oregon

Weekend Gathering

Traditionally, on the second weekend in August, Reiki practitioners from around the world gather on the sacred lands of Breitenbush Hot Springs in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon to share Reiki in a lively and diverse international community. For many in the community who return year after year, the Gathering is a joyful homecoming.

Since Breitenbush Hot Springs’ extreme loss during the 2020 fires, we’ve worked tirelessly to find a space for our community to meet in person. While they continue their rebuilding process, there is still limited space available to host our large groups in a way that is accessible to all of our community members. Breitenbush is our home and we look forward to the day when our community can return to the sacred lands there.

Since 2022 we met at Menucha Retreat and Conference Center in Corbett Oregon. Thirty minutes outside Portland Oregon. Based upon positive feedback from our community we decided to return to Menucha again this year. Due to their schedule, however, we have moved our meeting dates to earlier in the summer. We hope that this will help with heat-related issues and allergies many have experiences over the past few years.

The Weekend program is filled with inspiring talks from our guest speakers, large and small group discussions, group table Reiki and partner Reiki sessions, free time, stories, singing, laughter, hugs, and a few tears when we say goodbye until next year.  We are working on still holding our famous dance night to celebrate our journey!
