Reiki

Reiki is a gentle healing art rediscovered in Japan in the early 1900’s and now practiced throughout the world. During a Reiki treatment, gentle safe touch is given in a specific and easily learned sequence. Reiki encourages the body to bring it’s own resources and attention to any source of tension, dis-ease or discomfort on the physical, mental or emotional level in order to heal. Reiki techniques can also be used to quiet and empower the self or others, honoring the intuitive and practical nature of health.

Reiki treatments are most often conducted in hour-long sessions. Lying comfortably on a massage table, you receive Reiki through a series of hand positions developed in a medical clinic in Tokyo, and specific to the practice. You remain fully clothed through the course of the treatment.

People most often comment after a Reiki treatment that they feel as relaxed as if they had received a full body massage, but without the movement of massaging the muscles.

In addition to Reiki treatments, training is available in first and second degree Reiki. I also train and mentor Reiki masters. For more information, see the Events page or send me a message.
